Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a multi-faceted engineering company to recruit an asphalt plant Manager.
Job description
The Asphalt Plant Manager will be responsible for managing and running the asphalt plant successfully.
He will oversee all operations both on site and in the office, manage staff, coordinate production and monitor all site systems.
The Asphalt Manager will report to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities
Establish efficient processes for all the company products.
Set up working systems, which minimize loss of down time/material during different stages of production.
Liaise with procurement department for the supply of Asphalt materials
Liaise with civil engineers and project manager in coordination and distribution of Asphalt material
Allocate responsibilities to concerned staff to achieve the planned volume.
Prepare budget and track cost to stay within the budget.
Collect correct stock reports at the end of every month and submit these to operations head.
Conduct stock checks on daily/weekly/monthly basis.
Train and motivate all production staff
Qualifications and experience
B.Eng in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 10 years working experience
Good Experience in mining or civil/electrical engineering strongly preferred.
Management training or experience in asphalt plants and/or road construction operations.
Must be capable of establishing long-term goals.
Ability to work with the utmost concern for safety for self and others.
Must be able to operate plant computer systems
Must possess Communication, Analytical, Managerial, Leadership and Organizational skills.
Must have experience in road construction
Must have knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
