Our client
Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a large international FMCG group to recruit an Energy Manager for its factory operations in the western region of Nigeria.
Job description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
He will also be responsible for analysing current energy usage and developing energy management plan for the Factory in order to support our environmental friendly objective and being a responsible corporate citizen.
Ensuring daily process controls associated with energy generation, distribution and consumption are
functioning optimally and identification of energy improvement opportunities in order to have cost efficient and effective energy utilisation within clients Factory.
The position is based in Oyo State, Nigeria and he will report to the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
Planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring and controlling energy usage in the Factory.
Process Optimization – Evaluate and optimize process quality, efficiency and safety of energy generating equipment within the Factory
Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other problems that can adversely affect utilities operations.
Perform routine defect analysis of machinery and implementation of corrective actions.
Ensure training / coaching of subordinates for improved productivity, and multi-skilling within teams.
Maintain liaison with the maintenance and utilities team in order to provide optimum facility comfort while reducing energy consumption levels in the Factory.
Keeps Engineering Managers abreast of departmental technical/ people related issues
Provides technical support to utilities, projects and maintenance management and technical personnel within the Factory.
Qualifications et experience
Candidate must have a BSc in a Engineering related course preferably mechanical or Electrical/Electronics
A master’s degree is an added advantage.
Technical knowledge of utilities equipment working with FMCG, OIL & Gas, PHCN or power engineering firms.
Ability to prioritize owns work and work of others.
Ability to evaluate options to meet user requirement.
Ability to propose innovative solutions under pressure.
Must have god Interpersonal and People management skills
Project management skill with high knowledge of IT(Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics and PLC)
Good communication skills – Oral & Written
Good organisational and planning skills
Good analytical skills and flair for statistical data
Good inventory management skill.
Good use of data analysis techniques. e.g SPC, FTA, 5whys etc.
Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and SAP ERP software.
